About CalcCrib
Draft page (Phase-0 skeleton). "CalcCrib" is a placeholder brand; the final name, domain and owner details replace this text before launch.
CalcCrib is a small, independent site of calculators for home and DIY projects: how much concrete is in a slab, how many bags of mulch cover a bed, how much paint a room drinks, how many tiles a shower eats. The questions are ordinary; the answers online are often buried in forums, locked inside apps, or given with no visible math. We would rather show the math.
How our numbers are produced
Every calculator on this site follows the same rules:
- The formula is printed on the page. If you can't check it, don't trust it.
- Constants come from published sources — for example, premix bag yields from manufacturer data sheets, coverage rates from paint manufacturers, waste factors from standard trade practice. Where a figure is a rule of thumb, the page says so.
- Results are estimates for planning. They are not structural, engineering or code calculations, and they don't replace a supplier's or professional's judgement.
- Your inputs never leave your browser. The calculators run entirely on your device; nothing you type is sent to us.
How the site pays for itself
The calculators are free. Once launched, the site will be supported by advertising, which will be disclosed in the Privacy Policy. Advertising never changes a result: a calculator that tells you a ready-mix truck is cheaper than 220 bags is a feature, not a bug.
